Mosaic of Charlotte’s youth volunteers proudly stood alongside Veterans Bridge Home to take part in the Hero Run 5K & 1K Fun Run. It was a day dedicated to honoring the men and women who have served our nation, and our young leaders were there to ensure the event was a success from start to finish.
Participating in the Hero Run wasn’t just about the race; it was about the youth of our community showing up with energy and gratitude for those who have sacrificed so much.
🎖️ Service in Action: Energy, Care, and Gratitude
Our volunteers were involved in every aspect of the morning, proving that service is a value that can be lived at any age:
Behind the Scenes: Helping with early morning registration and logistics to get the race moving.
On the Course: Handing out water and cheering on runners with enthusiasm.
Building Bridges: Interacting with veterans and their families, fostering a spirit of unity and respect between generations.
It was truly inspiring to see our young people actively engaged in an event rooted in appreciation and community.
“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.”
Moments like these remind us that when we teach our youth the value of service, we are building a more compassionate and connected future for everyone.
🤝 A Community Rooted in Respect
We are incredibly thankful to Veterans Bridge Home and all the organizers who made the Hero Run possible. They created a space where gratitude and community action came together naturally, allowing our youth to see firsthand the impact of their presence.
Together, we continue honoring service through action and presence.
