Cooking, Community, and Connection: A Flavorful Experience at Gracious Hands Women’s Shelter

At Mosaic of Charlotte, we believe that food has the power to bring people together, build connections, and create lasting memories. Our 3rd Cooking Class at Gracious Hands Women’s Shelter was a perfect example of this!

This time, we introduced participants to Kumpir—a delicious Turkish-style loaded baked potato. Everyone had the chance to customize their own plate with a variety of flavorful toppings, including kısır, corn, sucuk, salami, pickles, olives, and Russian salad. The room was filled with warmth, laughter, and the joy of sharing a meal.

More Than Just Cooking

Beyond the food, these classes provide a sense of community, empowerment, and togetherness for everyone involved. Whether it’s learning new culinary skills, enjoying great conversations, or simply experiencing the joy of cooking, these gatherings create meaningful moments that go beyond the kitchen.
